Capability · NERAI for AI Agents

Your AI agent, with
a risk desk attached.

NERAI runs a hosted MCP server. Connect it once and Claude — or any MCP-compatible agent — can query 60-country risk indices, calibrated shock forecasts, maritime and circumvention corridors, and official trade-control changes, directly in the conversation where the decision is being made.

Why it matters

Intelligence belongs where the
decision happens.

Dashboards ask people to go somewhere and look something up. Most decisions don't work that way — they happen in a document, a thread, a call, or an agent workflow. NERAI's MCP server puts calibrated risk data inside those moments: your team asks a question in plain language and gets NERAI's numbers, with the methodology and as-of date attached.

The tools

Six read-only tools

Every tool returns live platform data with its methodology and as-of date. Nothing writes, nothing executes — the connector can only read.

ToolWhat it returns
get_country_risk Top risk signals for a country as percentiles of the 30-day average versus the series' own history (now / 90 days ago / delta), plus calibrated shock probabilities at 4, 9 and 13-week horizons.
get_maritime_corridors Eight monitored corridors — Hormuz, Suez, Red Sea/Bab-el-Mandeb, Black Sea, Malacca, Taiwan Strait, Eastern Mediterranean, South China Sea — with threat and activity scores, transit status and disruption versus baseline, and cost pressure.
get_circumvention_corridors Diversion-corridor intensity scores for controlled microelectronics (Common High Priority List, HS 8542 focus), with goods profile and watch items.
get_forecast_desk NERAI's open calibrated forecasts — binary questions with probabilities and horizons across sanctions, geopolitical risk, chokepoints, maritime, supply chain and conflict.
get_tradecontrol_changes Latest official trade-control changes from the TradeControl Action Desk: UK Sanctions List and US Consolidated Screening List diffs plus CELEX-anchored EU Official Journal acts, each with its legal instrument and source link.
list_countries The 60 covered countries and platform metadata, including as-of dates and model calibration.
In practice

Questions your team can simply ask

"What does NERAI show for Iran right now, and how has it moved in 90 days?"
"Which corridors is NERAI rating as severely disrupted this week?"
"Any new EU trade-control measures we need to act on?"
"Pull NERAI's open forecasts on chokepoint risk for the board pack."

The agent calls the relevant tools, combines them, and answers with NERAI's figures — percentiles, probabilities, corridor scores — plus the caveats that belong with them.

Setup

Connected in about a minute

No installation, no infrastructure on your side. You receive a private subscription URL containing your key.

  1. Open your AI client's connector settings. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Paste your NERAI URL. It looks like this:
    https://nerai-mcp.neraicorp.workers.dev/mcp/<your-key>
  3. Approve the tools the first time your agent uses them, and start asking questions.

Clients that support request headers can authenticate with Authorization: Bearer <your-key> against /mcp instead. Transport: MCP Streamable HTTP. Keys are per-customer and revocable at any time.

Access

Request a trial key

MCP access is included with NERAI data-feed subscriptions and available standalone. Trial keys give you the full connection with a limited data window so your team can test the workflow before committing.

Or email kagan@neraicorp.com directly.

Data handling

What the connector does and doesn't do

  • Read-only. Every tool is annotated read-only; the server exposes no write or destructive operations.
  • No customer data required. You don't upload counterparties, shipments or portfolios to use it.
  • First-party data. Responses come from NERAI's own indices, models and registers, built on public and licensed sources.
  • Refreshed automatically. The served snapshot is rebuilt from the platform twice daily; every response carries its as-of date.
  • Not advice. Calibrated probabilities and ordinal risk ratings support decisions; they are not legal, compliance or investment advice.
